What We’ve Achieved

  • Portfolio monitoring and reporting for the impact investments made by foundations in support of their philanthropic and DAF-directed missions and community.

  • Design and Implementation Plan for the Los Angeles County Microloan Program that uses balance sheet equity, technical assistance subsidy, and loan guarantees to bring capital to the informal economy, re-entry populations, and microentrepreneurs who are unsupported by traditional banking, government, and philanthropic loan programs.

  • The design, manager due diligence, and structuring of the Los Angeles Bioscience Investment Fund, which attracts high-risk capital to place as venture investments into early-stage life science companies as part of a regional economic development strategy.

  • Financial consulting for individuals, startups, and nonprofits seeking to increase their capacity, structure investments, or improve their operations.

  • Design, launch, and ongoing financial operations of a nonprofit innovation catalyst supporting the life sciences ecosystem in Southern California.

  • Operations, finance, accounting, bookkeeping, IT infrastructure, marketing, and HR policies and procedures, guidance and operational support for various nonprofits and start-ups.

  • Developed and updated a number of websites to support the informational and publicity aims of the organizations the websites represent.
